The Dancing Bears listserver is for distributing messages about meetings, special announcements, workshops, informal gatherings, and dance and music events of interest to Dancing Bears.

Finally but important! Please add

Listserver Policies
Also, please read these Listserver Policies which explain the messages that are appropriate to be posted on the listserver.
* Any member can post (send an email) to the list, with the requirements that emails be on topic for dance and music.
* Messages should be non-commercial and non-political.
* Any item that is not for a Dancing Bear event must have the initials “NDBE” (Non-Dancing Bears’ Event) in the subject line. The first line in these message should be “This is a non-Dancing Bears event”.
* Messages must not have any attachments, in order to reduce the likelihood of virus transmission.

Introducing our new DB community email list
As you may know, Yahoo is retiring their email list service and it will cease to function mid-December 2020. We use this list to announce items of interest to the Dancing Bear community, including upcoming dances, volunteer opportunities, and occasional non-Dancing Bear events.
We have created a new email list with similiar functionality at Google Groups. All current subscribers to the Yahoo list have been added to the new Google Groups list.
A few things to know about the new Google Groups email list:
* If you subscribed to the old Yahoo list, an email with the subject "New Dancing Bears Googlegroups list server"
should have shown up in your inbox on December 1, 2020. If you did not see it, your email service may have classified it as Junk or Spam. Details vary by email service, but you may need look in the dreaded Junk or Spam folder for a that email with that subject line, open it, and designate the new group as an approved contact. (Exact details will vary by email provider.) And/or also, Please add [email protected] to the contacts list of your email account. This will ensure that your email service doesn't send messages from the Dancing Bears list server to your Junk or Spam filter. Thanks!
